TITLE AND POSITION: Job Captain

We are looking for a creative problem-solver that can balance a busy workload while collaborating with multiple teams. The primary role of the Job Captain is to assist the Project Manager in the preparation of graphics, meeting preparation, client needs and landscape construction documents/packages, serving as a supportive team member, project management, direct supervision of drafting personnel, drafting, and other assistance as required.

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: 3 Years with a Landscape Architectural firm, and proficient in the latest version of AutoCAD. A license to practice landscape architecture is desirable with preference given to those licensed to practice in California.  In addition, employee must have a working knowledge of the use of Northern California plant materials, irrigation, grading, drainage, materials, and construction.  Experience shall include both project and personnel management, client contact, presentation, and communication skills.  AutoCAD proficiency is required. Additionally, solid design, hand graphics, rendering skills, ability to multi-task, and effective communication skills (both written and verbal) are required.

EDUCATION: Degree from a four/five-year institution with specific study area in Landscape Architecture, Civil Engineer, Architecture or related field that has a nationally accredited program.

Salary commensurate with candidate’s relevant experience. The position is full-time, hourly non-exempt following successful completion of a three-month orientation period.


TITLE AND POSITION: Draftsperson

This role requires a balanced skill set of preparation of graphics, manual and/or computer aided (CAD) drafting, meeting preparation, and production of landscape construction documents and packages. The ideal candidate’s qualifications include solid design, hand graphics, rendering skills, ability to multi-task, and strong communication skills (both written and verbal). Knowledge of California plant material, an understanding of irrigation design, and AutoCAD proficiency is desirable. Professional experience in the industry is referred and recently graduated or graduating students may also be considered for this position.

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: 0-2 Years, knowledgeable with AutoCAD, SketchUp, Microsoft Office Suite, and Microsoft Project.

EDUCATION: A Bachelor of Science Degree in Landscape Architecture from an accredited College or University is required. Candidates with a degree in the field of Civil Engineering, Architecture or a related field will also be considered, although Landscape Architecture is preferred.
