Project Managers play a key leadership role within the firm. The right candidate will be a team player with strong leadership experience, and is familiar with the needs of public agencies and educational institutions. The primary responsibility of this position is to support senior project managers and principals with day-to-day project management duties.

Primary consideration will be given to those with demonstrated leadership skills, ability to seamlessly manage projects in various stages of completion, fiscal responsibility, those that possess effective communication and interpersonal skills, and have people-management experience. Exercising discretion and independent judgment are key.

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: 0-3 years plus training and knowledge of Landscape Architecture or Civil Engineering. The ideal candidate will have solid design, hand graphics and rendering skills coupled with a working knowledge of AutoCAD. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, along with the ability to multi-task are required.

Project Manager Level One does not require a license, but it is preferred.  Project Manager Level Two and Three is available only to licensed Landscape Architects, Civil Engineer and Architects at a management level. Current registration in California is required with no pending or outstanding consumer complaints or regulatory action from California.

EDUCATION: A degree in Landscape Architecture or Civil Engineering from an accredited program/university is required. Advanced degrees in the same field of study (Architecture, Engineering, Planning or related field) are encouraged.

We are looking for a creative problem-solver that can balance a busy workload while collaborating with multiple teams. The primary role of the Job Captain is to assist the Project Manager in the preparation of graphics, meeting preparation, client needs and landscape construction documents/packages, serving as a supportive team member, project management, direct supervision of drafting personnel, drafting, and other assistance as required.

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Desired experience is two years with a Landscape Architectural firm, and proficient in the latest version of AutoCAD. A license to practice landscape architecture is desirable with preference given to those licensed to practice in California.  In addition, employee must have a working knowledge of the use of Northern California plant materials, irrigation, grading, drainage, materials, and construction.  Experience shall include both project and personnel management, client contact, presentation, and communication skills.  AutoCAD proficiency is required. Additionally, solid design, hand graphics, rendering skills, ability to multi-task, and effective communication skills (both written and verbal) are required.

EDUCATION: Degree from a four/five-year institution with specific study area in Landscape Architecture, Civil Engineer, Architecture or related field that has a nationally accredited program.
