RIBBON CUTTING AT JOE DEBELY STADIUM
On August 26, Debely Stadium in Turlock officially reopened for the 2010 Fall Football Season. The Turlock Union School District presented the newly renovated field to the community with a ribbon cutting ceremony attended by sports fans, players and community members. Dr. Sonny H. Da Marto, Superintendent, welcomed the crowd and thanked all of those responsible for the successful completion of the stadium project.
The stadium, which is shared by Turlock and Pitman High Schools, underwent a $3.6 million dollar renovation. The improved field is synthetic turf which will support the intense use of the field by the two high schools and local community. A new 8-lane all-weather track includes field events areas.
Verde Design prepared the designs for the facility improvements.
We congratulate the Turlock Unified School District on their new stadium!
