Chabot College Athletic Facility Improvements, Hayward
Chabot College retained Verde Design to renovate the campus’s athletic facilities. The first portion of the project was to upgrade the football stadium, the softball field, and the tennis complex. We converted the football field from natural grass to synthetic turf without disturbing the surrounding all-weather running track. Our designers reoriented and rebuilt the softball facility to gain the maximum play area. The new nine-court tennis complex is a regional center which can be used for championship play. We also developed designs for buildings for storage, restrooms, and concessions.
To support the new facilities, we designed extensive infrastructure improvements for the drainage, security, electrical, landscaping and irrigation.
