Aerial view of new softball stadium

San José City College, San José

The Lady Jags at San Jose City College are playing in a softball stadium designed by the professionals at Verde Design. Completed in the fall of 2008, the 245-chairback seat stadium includes bullpens, CMU dugouts, and a 3-station batting cage. It’s part of a new athletic complex that includes a track event throwing field with hammer and discus cages and a javelin runway. The new track events facilities will serve as an Olympic training center in 2012.

A new multi-use, synthetic turf field with bleachers is used for soccer and field sports as well as for Physical Education classes. A synthetic turf walking track runs around the perimeter of the field.
