Menlo School Wunderlich Fields Renovations, Atherton*

The campus where Menlo School and Menlo College are located is situated in a heavily developed residential area. To meet the needs of their students, the schools needed to expand their athletic fields without extending beyond their existing footprint. Our design maximized the field usability without compromising the space requirements of any specific sport. In addition, we were able to design in areas for training and practice.

The multi-use field design used synthetic turf, which was striped with multiple field layouts. In addition to softball and soccer, the field was also designed for lacrosse and field hockey. The other improvements included batting cages and ball toss areas, and a concrete practice wall for lacrosse and field hockey.

New spectator seating areas were installed, along with new dugouts, bullpens, fencing, and landscaping.
