Gunn High School Titans Stadium

Gunn High School Renovations, Palo Alto

At Gunn High School, Verde Design prepared designs for renovations for the Titans Stadium Field, the high school's Lower Fields, and an adjacent multi-use field.

Synthetic turf was selected for use for the stadium field because of its ability to withstand heavy use, drain quickly during the rainy season, and significantly reduce water use and maintenance costs.

The Lower fields are the school's baseball and softball fields. During the initial design phase, we held Digital Design Charrettes to let District staff see how proposed design changes would affect the project. The charrettes allowed us to develop optimal field layouts and preseve several mature California oaks.

We met the District's aggressive schedule, completing design and documentation in four weeks to obtain DSA approval in time for summer construction.
