Milpitas High School Athletic Facilities,* Milpitas

The Milpitas High School received much needed upgrades to their athletic facilities with the goal of having the school's athletic events, including football games, on campus and on their own fields. The improvements were completed in phases.

Phase I: Synthetic turf and sports field lighting were installed in the stadium. The other improvements to the stadium field area included additional home and new visitor bleachers, all-weather track, field events, scoreboard and paving/access improvements. The soccer field adjacent to the stadium was also improved with synthetic turf.

Phase II: These improvements completed the athletic facilities to the south of the stadium, which included new synthetic turf baseball and softball stadiums, as well as modular concession/restroom and equipment storage buildings.

This was one of the first synthetic turf installations for baseball fields in northern California.
